Fortis Construction Opens Singapore Office and Will Build Facebook’s First Data Center in Asia

Fortis Construction’s new office in Singapore will be the hub from which it will provide general contractor services for Facebook’s newly announced Singapore Data Center. While the company has a history of delivering projects overseas from its Portland, Oregon, headquarters, Singapore represents Fortis’ first international office.

Fortis is now seeking high-quality employees and subcontractors for its work in Singapore. The company is recruiting for positions in accounting, preconstruction, construction, engineering, finance, information technology, safety and quality control, as well as subcontracting partners.

Facebook Singapore Data Center Project

Fortis Construction will serve as general contractor for Facebook’s first custom-built data center in Asia. Fortis has been the general contractor for Facebook’s data centers in Prineville, Oregon, USA; Forest City, North Carolina, USA*; Lulea, Sweden*; Fort Worth, Texas, USA*; and Los Lunas, New Mexico, USA. The company’s work with Facebook has garnered awards including the Engineering News-Record Editors’ Choice Best of the Best Award and Engineering News-Record Best Green Project Award.
