Fortis successfully completed the CM/GC delivery of the LTD Fleet Maintenance Facility, which included both the new construction and renovation of multiple structures. As part of the Lane Transit District’s transition to standardizing the use of 60-foot articulated buses in its fleet, an expansion and renovation of LTD’s existing fleet maintenance building was required. Formerly the standard bus size was 40 feet and all of LTD’s equipment and maintenance areas were built for this size bus. Fortis’ project consisted of an office remodel, a training room buildout, a new wash station, new bus bay extensions, installing hydraulic lifts to accommodate the 60-foot buses, tire storage improvements and a shop expansion. The maintenance facility remained fully operational during the project.
