OSU-Cascades: OSU-Cascades opens as Oregon’s first new public university in 50 years
As the first new four-year public university to open in Oregon in more than 50 years, OSU-Cascades will first welcome 1,200 students this fall. That number is expected to grow to as many as 5,000 students in just the next eight years. OSU-Cascades' fall term at the new campus begins September 21st.

Monica Emmons Named a 2016 Women in Construction Leader
Fortis Construction BIM Manager Monica Emmons has been named a 2016 Women in Construction Leader by Constructech Magazine. She has been an intergral team members for Fortis projects including the Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center - Medical Office Building 4, Facebook's Prineville Campus, Oregon Reproductive Medicine Headquarters and other confidential clients, to name a few. In addition to to her project work, Monica mentors young females to promote STEM careers and the use of technology in construction.
In recent years, women have transformed the construction industry. Whether they’re out on the jobsite or in the office, women have proven they know how to push the boundaries of what’s expected, and leverage the latest technology...With roles that span across many corporate levels, these 38 women were chosen based on their ability to go far beyond their own roles, instilling changes in their respective companies and the industry as a whole.

Oregon State University Football New Locker Room Reveal @ Reser Stadium
With the reveal of Oregon State University's new football locker room, an early stage of the OSU Reser Stadium Valley Football Center expansion has been completed. The project – a joint venture with Hunt Construction – is a result of the ongoing Victory Through Valley campaign to expand Reser Stadium with state-of-the-art athletics facilities and additional seating capacity. The next piece of the expansion up for completion (in early September 2016) is the new players lounge.

Fortis Ranked the #9 Healthiest Employer of Oregon
Fortis Construction has been named the #9 Healthiest Employer of Oregon. The ranking reflects Fortis' extensive Wellness Program and firm-wide active culture (group climbing trips, intramural soccer, ping-pong tournaments, basketball, golf, etc.). This is the second time that Fortis has landed in the Top 10 list of Oregon's Healthiest Employers, and it is the first time that Fortis has been in the Top 10 for the 100-499-employee category.
