On August 21, Fortis Construction, the Oregon Military Department, Oregon National Guard and local representatives joined together to break ground on the new Hillsboro Readiness Center. The new facility will serve as a vital hub for the Oregon National Guard and an important resource for the surrounding community.
The $31M design-build project with CIDA, Inc will encompass two ground-up pre-engineered metal building structures (PEMBs) that include a 45,000 SF readiness center featuring a drill hall, commercial kitchen, fitness area, classrooms, gear storage and administrative areas, as well as 20,000 SF tube storage building for housing and maintaining military vehicles. The project is scheduled to be completed in winter 2026.
