DOWA-IBI Group Architects, Portland Headquarters

Downtown Portland’s old Federal Reserve Building houses the headquarters for architectural firm DOWA-IBI Group (formerly Dull Olson Weekes). The growing architecture firm needed a bigger office space and had only nine weeks to be out of its old space; Fortis was able to meet this fast-track schedule. The mainly open-office area is complemented by a library, print room, kitchen and two conference rooms. Distinct elements of the new office include a cantilevered ceiling over the reception desk and ceiling cloud over the entry. The project is Certified as LEED for Commercial Interiors Platinum.
