Fortis delivered the complete interior overhaul of the UO Columbia Hall, which modernized a 500-seat, 55-year-old lecture space to provide an advanced teaching/learning environment. Built in 1960, the lecture hall only had one update in more than five decades—which was a lighting upgrade in the late ‘80s. For this reason, the lecture hall was significantly revamped with new seating, energy-efficient fixtures and controls, A/V systems, chemistry infrastructure and support spaces, and many other upgrades for the Chemistry Department.
