American Institute Of Architects Honors the Oregon Zoo Education Center

Adding to a list of awards, the Oregon Zoo Education Center has now been honored with The American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (COTE) Award. The COTE Top Ten Awards is the industry’s best-known awards program for sustainable design excellence. Each year, just ten innovative projects across the nation earn the prize for setting the standard in design and sustainability.

Through a collaborative effort with Opsis Architecture as the project designer and Fortis Construction serving as Construction Manager/General Contractor, the project has achieved net-zero energy, LEED Platinum Certification (82 points), the AIA Portland 2030 Award, and now this AIA COTE Top Ten Award.
