Leveraging Technology to Help Builds Take Flight

On the Crane Data Center site, Fortis employed drone technology to keep our team, clients, and potential tenants informed about site progress, all at the click of a button.

With the help of Monica Emmons, VDC manager, Fortis brought in Topa 3D, a trusted VDC partner and a longtime collaborator, to help take milestone drone flights throughout the project.

Our VDC team handled all pre-flight planning, coordinating optimal fly days, avoiding no-fly zones such as train track easements, and delivering a steady stream of high-quality media for our client  to leverage.

We were also able to capture drone imagery during each flight that seamlessly uploads into OpenSpace, giving our teams accurate, up-to-date site mapping and strengthening overall project planning.
