Airbnb’s newest Hub presented to the team a unique challenge of building out a space within a historic building to accurately reflect true “listings” from Airbnb destinations including Brazil, Moscow, Mexico, Beijing, Mdina and Joshua Tree, to name a few. Because of this, a typical office expansion may on average include two carpet types and four paint types, while Airbnb’s expansion called for more than 20 different paints, carpets/fabrics and wood finishes. With a true collaborative effort between Fortis, Airbnb, Bora Architects and subcontractors, Fortis delivered the project on schedule and on budget resulting in being named the #1 Tenant Improvement Project of the Year.

"Building Airbnb's Portland Hub and then being asked to go to Seattle for the next office was a great honor. I'm very proud to have been a part of these teams!"
