For one of Europe’s largest internet companies, Fortis provided construction management services in Mantsala, Finland, for a new data center campus. The first phase consisted of 10MW data-hall capacity along with an office building, fuel building and security building. The total campus build over four phases led to capacity of 40MW. Taking advantage of Finland’s cool year-around climate, the facilities utilize advanced evaporative-cooling technology with a system that brings in 100% outside air and reuses server waste heat to balance the frigid winter temperatures in the colder months.
