Fortis Construction, Headquarters Dirtt Modular Additions

To accommodate changing workplace and technology needs, Fortis utilized DIRTT Systems to support the open-office environment and provide enhanced conferencing options around the perimeter of the headquarters. The installations also served a secondary purpose as a showcase for clients interested in similar uses and applications. Separate from the DIRTT Systems, another major part of the office modernization came when Fortis ingenuity met the Fortis competitive spirit to benefit female employees: a new and vastly improved Mother’s Room came about as a friendly competition for our project engineers to “win” the project by practicing their scheduling, estimating, and interviewing skills. Teams demonstrated their creativity to turn what was an office supply closet into a comfortable and well-appointed lactation room. The winning team’s completed Mother’s Room is now equipped with a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, lounge chair with ottoman, picture wall, mirrors, and dim lighting.
