Lattice Semiconductor has a deep-rooted history in the Portland tech industry, and it literally trademarked the phrase “Silicon Forest.” Due to the shifting tech environment of the Portland region and a desire to recruit software engineers plus others outside of the traditional chip industry, Lattice chose to move its headquarters from the suburbs of Hillsboro to Portland’s U.S. Bancorp Tower. For Lattice, Fortis built out a new 23,000-square-foot headquarters office to reflect the culture and vibrancy of a tech startup balanced with the company’s 30-year firm history. The open-office environment is complemented by a range of conference and breakout spaces with audio/visual support for inner-office and long-distance collaboration. Also, DIRTT Wall systems were used within the office to create the conference and meeting rooms. Reflecting the new, dynamic culture, the headquarters office also includes amenities such as a large kitchen and breakroom, bike storage, showers and a game room. A fresh and high-tech Lattice brand is further reinforced by the installation of custom furniture and detailing (such as wood-slat ceilings and wall graphics) and specialty lighting throughout.
