Over multiple years, Fortis completed several lab renovations at Lewis & Clark College’s Bodine Hall. Because the science hall was fully occupied and active during the projects, all work was phased to be completed during winter and summer times that reduced conflicts with the academic schedule. Provided through the renovation are numerous research labs and classroom labs. Room 110 is unique in that it is the specialized research lab for Kellar Autumn, Lewis & Clark’s world-renowned gecko researcher; this lab includes a cleanroom for Autumn’s research. All of the lab renovations involved the complete demo and build out of new utilities, walls, floors and ceilings. Within a number of labs, Fortis installed custom-designed laboratory casework, fume hoods, and bio-safety cabinets. Assisting Lewis & Clark in making the best use of existing spaces, a tier-floor auditorium lecture hall was infilled to very specific standards in order to create the laboratories that are now within Rooms 105-110.
