The Oregon Military Department’s Charles L. Deibert Operations Facility is a new 38,500sf building providing offices, training facilities and a flight operations control center for the Oregon Army National Guard. The flight operations portion of the facility houses the 2-641 Aviation Battalion, its staff, aircraft and support equipment. The operations control center manages and coordinates all flight traffic and missions for the battalion around the State. The facility provides personnel gear storage, maintenance, showers/locker spaces, fitness, classrooms, and command office support for the battalion’s functions. The remaining portion of the building is home to the 102nd Civil Support Team (CST). This alert-ready group provides first response for any hazardous or biological threats that may occur in the region with coordination with other federal and state agencies. The project also included a new 3,600sf pre-engineered metal building for use by AASF personnel and a 2,000sf covered parking building for additional CST equipment. The Flight Operations Facility is LEED Silver Certified.
