Due to our trusted, long-term relationship with Oregon State University and expertise with student housing, Fortis was selected to renovate OSU’s Bloss, Callahan, and Wilson Halls. Each residence hall was renovated to meet building code requirements; key elements included upgraded mechanical systems, fire protection improvements in 390 rooms, and upgrades to student rooms, kitchens, and common areas. The team used lessons learned from previous projects at OSU to maintain a safe site on the active campus. Extensive work throughout the buildings required consistent communication with the City of Corvallis and OSU to ensure schedules were met, allowing students to move in before the school year.
