Within the Portland International Airport terminal core expansion project, Fortis was selected to build multiple pop-up shops composed of mass-plywood panel (MPP). Located right in the middle of the public terminal—before passengers go through security—these shops are situated in one of the busiest areas in Oregon. The modular shops were purposefully built to be unique and visually appealing as well as small-scale and nimble, so that local Pacific Northwest businesses could have a presence at the airport without having to commit to a long-term buildout or lease.
