Long-term relationships, consistency and quality are the reason why Portland State University selected Fortis for the $70 million and 217,000 square foot comprehensive modernization of Fariborz Maseeh Hall (formerly Neuberger Hall) soon after the successful completion of the $43M Stott Center and Viking Pavilion. Maseeh Hall is the main academic facility on campus – housing everything from Chemistry and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to World Languages and Art/Design Studios. To ensure project success, Fortis co-located with Hacker Architects and PSU in a collaborative IPD team structure. Since Maseeh Hall remained occupied throughout construction, the team together developed precise and effective solutions around scheduling, phasing and logistics in order to provide adequate classroom spaces and necessary swing space, maintain safety and security, and minimize disruption to adjacent campus facilities.

"It was a rewarding and challenging process to co-locate with PSU and the architects to bring this project to life. I'm very proud of what we accomplished as a team."
