Tykeson Hall blends modern, spacious design with classic campus architecture, creating a new facility that is “headquarters” for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the UO campus Career Center, and the Center for Integrated Advising (academic and career). The building also includes the College of Arts and Sciences Commons, which is a welcoming atrium that creates a centralized hub of campus activity and a seamless connection with the courtyard that is shared with Chapman Hall (another Fortis project). Virtual Design & Construction as well as Target-Value Design were two integral elements of this project to ensure quality, on-time and on-budget delivery, and LEED Gold Certification.
