Fortis delivered the new 107-foot Bell Tower on the University of Portland campus in North Portland; the new “campus jewel” is constructed of precast concrete with a masonry and glass-fiber reinforced concrete veneer. In total, the tower houses 14 loud and large-scale bells, which were specially cast in Holland. The bells range in weight from 200 pounds to more than 1,700 pounds each. The cross sitting atop the tower is 12-feet tall. Also included in the project scope was significant landscaping improvements and custom stonework installations.
