American Institute of Architects Honor Award for McDaniel High School

The Portland Public Schools Leodis V. McDaniel High School has garnered an Honor Award from The American Institute of Architects – Oregon.

As stated by project partner Opsis Architecture

The transformational modernization of the 1950s school creates next-generation learning environments for the city’s most culturally diverse student population, encompassing more than 30 spoken languages. The 296,167sf school features a light-filled Commons and Crossroads atrium at the heart of the school, performing arts, career technical education spaces, athletic facilities and a STEM wing with a flexible lab, greenhouse and teaching garden.

Congratulations to Opsis Architecture, DAO Architecture, Fortis Construction team members, and the many additional project partners who made this transformation a success.
