Meta, Tulsa Data Center

Building campuses over multiple decades with shared trust and respect also comes with efficiencies, transparency, safety enhancements, and a proven track record of success. This is represented by the Tulsa Data Center being the 8^th data center campus that Fortis is building with Meta.

This new AI data center—part of Meta’s highly advanced global infrastructure that helps bring technologies and services to life while connecting billions of people around the world—will represent an investment of more than $1 billion in the State of Oklahoma once completed. More than $25 million in local infrastructure improvements, including roads and water infrastructure, are also encompassed by the campus delivery. Throughout the build, more than 1,000 construction workers will be on site.

Investing in the community is also an integral component of the Tulsa Data Center: a partnership with Tulsa Tech and Tulsa Community College will create a pipeline of more than 200 graduates annually in technical trades; prioritizing Meta water stewardship and a global goal to be water positive in 2030, a partnership has been set with Phytech for water restoration and irrigation technology for local farmers; and, with this project, clean energy will be added to the grid to match 100% of the electricity use the Tulsa Data Center.
