Having delivered JLL’s award-winning Portland Brewery Blocks office in 2016, Fortis was selected again for this $1.1M renovation and expansion. With JLL needing more space, and the adjacent tenant moving out of this historic building, the client turned back to the same team that led the original buildout. The expansion increases the workspace from 11,000sf to 17,200sf by connecting the neighboring suite within the historic Brewery Blocks while the renovation includes a refresh of the existing workspace and breakroom, update of the acoustics, and addition of new conference rooms and collaboration spaces of varying sizes. To keep the office fully operational and minimize disruption to JLL and neighboring tenants during construction, Fortis utilized a temporary portable-wall system to create a boundary between the construction work area and the client-facing spaces. Fortis’ trusted relationship with the Fortune 500 company has developed over more than 40 successful commercial office and healthcare projects together.

It's a great feeling when you are part of bringing a project to life, it gets honored with a major award...and then the client calls you back six years later to do more work!
