Unico Properties, Slabtown Center

Building on a long-term relationship of office renovations and modernizations in Portland, Unico Properties selected Fortis Construction as CM/GC partner for the $2.2 million first phase of the Slabtown Center. The project is the first step in updating what was formerly the XPO Logistic Headquarters into leasable office spaces complemented by modern amenity spaces, within Northwest Portland’s rapidly developing Slabtown Neighborhood. For the exterior, Fortis built out a welcoming new entry by adding a steel support system with integrated artwork around an existing canopy. With the interior, this first phase encompassed the renovation of the existing lobby with high-end finishes, plus the addition of a fitness area and bike storage.
