U.S. Bank looked to Fortis to execute the buildout of more than 230,000sf of office space in downtown Portland’s iconic “Big Pink” tower. The expiration of this anchor tenant’s lease led to a major restructuring effort that affected nearly half of the building’s 1.1 million square feet. Fortis engaged early on with U.S. Bank to understand the relocation sequence of the company’s various business units and in turn created a master schedule that quickly became the roadmap for the entire project team. Fortis played an active role not only in construction, but in the coordination of the entire U.S. Bank move effort, working closely with bank vendors to ensure that each of the seven major phases met the deadlines driven by lease-turnover dates. Subsequent to completing the major renovation for US Bank, Fortis was selected for numerous TIs within the building for multiple law firms, the Lattice Semiconductor Headquarters, and the New Relic Headquarters.
