Following the successful modernization of the Moda Tower lobby, Fortis was selected with a direct award by property owner and manager Unico along with Brown & Brown Northwest Insurance to deliver an 18,000sf, $2M tenant improvement. The modernized office consists of a full 12th floor overhaul. Due to the adjacency to occupied office floors, Fortis started from preconstruction with detailed plans and defined communication channels for coordinating work within the building, deliveries, moving, and off-hours necessities. In total, Fortis revamped the reception and office spaces, conference rooms, mailroom, kitchen and elevator corridor. Demonstrating a successful partnership with Unico, Brown & Brown and architect Mackenzie, Fortis completed this project on schedule and under budget – in the end returning nearly $20,000 to the client. Also, reflecting Fortis’ success in working on dense urban sites and within occupied buildings, since completing the Brown & Brown Northwest Insurance office, Unico Properties and Lane Powell hired Fortis to deliver the new law firm office within the Moda Tower.
