Fortis has collaborated with Bora Architects to deliver three successful projects for Airbnb. Airbnb’s Portland office—the Customer Experience (CX) Hub—houses the company’s engineering, legal and customer service staff; to accommodate the fast-growing Airbnb workforce and aid in attracting talent, Fortis upgraded 20,000sf of space over multiple floors of the historic Blagen Block Building. The office was built to accurately reflect true “listings” from Airbnb destinations across the world. Following that success, Airbnb asked that Fortis take on the buildout of its 42,000sf Seattle office. Similar to the Portland office, the Seattle office was designed and built to reflect true “listings” from Airbnb’s global destinations; the $8.5 million project required an extensive amount of customization and craftsmanship to build out conference rooms, gathering nodes, and specialist workspaces with the durability and functionality of a modern, high-tech workplace. Shown with the pictures below, Fortis most recently delivered Airbnb’s 38 Davis Portland Office Expansion, which involved a 9,400sf tenant improvement that encompasses a range of work spaces and conference rooms, a cafe, and numerous modern tech-office amenities.
