Fortis is accustomed to serving in the lead-builder role for developer-driven healthcare projects, as evidenced by the build-to-suit Oregon DHS Multi-Service Centers in Corvallis and Grants Pass with developer MMDC. For these projects, we worked closely with the design and development team members to align the proforma with the overall budget, schedule, program and quality goals. To help achieve these goals, Fortis utilized Lean-constructions strategies including pull planning, just-in-time delivery, modular and prefabricated elements, and full-scale mockups.

DHS Grants Pass Multi-Service Center: The $14 million, 58,000sf new structural-steel facility consolidates DHS Self-Sufficiency and Health services—including local programs serving child protective services, senior and disability services and families in need. It was constructed with a highly flexible interior layout, which allows for growth, variable staffing levels and a future building expansion. Ensuring sustainable performance, the project has a Two Globes Rating under the Green Globes for New Construction program.
