Since 2013 New Relic has experienced rapid growth, making it one of Portland’s largest high-tech employers. The New Relic and Fortis history reflects a true partnership and long-term relationship: after first hiring Fortis for the initial headquarters buildout within the US Bancorp Tower (a.k.a. “Big Pink”), the firm has hired Fortis for six subsequent expansions. In total, Fortis has worked across seven different floors of the occupied highrise to deliver R&D and engineering/product team spaces, extensive amenity and collaboration environments, highly customized environmental graphics, custom-made furniture and lighting by local Portland vendors, and even an indoor vapor-system fireplace.

"Being asked time and time again to come back and do another project for a client is a great compliment to teamwork, craftsmanship, quality, and having fun building things."
