Providence Health & Services, Providence Portland Medical Center Digestive Health

Due to proven expertise of working within the occupied Providence Portland Medical Center, Fortis was directly awarded the 6th Floor Digestive Health modernization. As the CM/GC partner with JRJ Architects, the team delivered this $1.5M, 10,000sf medical-clinic environment with full redesign and expansion of its Digestive Health clinic space. Key features of the project included a revamp of the reception area, existing patient rooms, classroom space, new conference rooms, and offices. Clear communication channels and coordinated preconstruction efforts allowed construction for this project to take place in an occupied and fully operating clinical facility. In-house MEP experts allowed the team to optimize the project schedule as well as save critical time leading up to final inspection. Also, Fortis worked closely with Providence to create detailed logistics plans (including off-hour operations and a centralized elevator plan) to minimize any disruptions for patients.
